Support Us

Our vision for the future is a top-class, sustainable service for all voluntary and community organisations, run from our own building and in partnership with Bournemouth CVS.

To achieve this we need funding.

Any money given to us helps not just one frontline service, but many - we can multiply the effect of your money to make it achieve more.

We are a charity, and struggle to find funding to keep our services going, like most charities. The Borough of Poole gives us enough each year to support two to three members of staff, the rest we have to find from other sources. Over recent years we benefited from government and Big Lottery funding but we are not optimistic about these funds coming round again. Full information on our funding is on our How we are funded page.

We do not usually qualify for money from grant-making trusts, as they prefer to give to charities which help people directly – we are known as a second-tier service, that is, we help organisations rather than directly helping people

You could help us by sending a donation, or by leaving us something in your will.

To leave us money in your will, consult your solicitor. You can leave either a set sum, or a percentage of your estate (perhaps after giving the majority of it to family). It is important to give your solicitor our full name: Poole Council for Voluntary Service and our Charity Number: 1128227. Please get in touch with our chief executive if you need any more advice on this.
