Evaluation of our service

We continuously monitor and evaluate our service to ensure we are giving the voluntary sector what it wants from us and that we are being as cost effective as possible.

NAVCA Quality Standard

This is an award specifically for organisations such as ours, given by NAVCA (the National Association of Voluntary and Community Action), which is our umbrella body.

We were assessed for, and achieved, the award in early 2012. It was a very demanding process, making us think hard about how we knew our work was achieving positive outcomes. We were delighted with this external ratification of our work, as well as an off-the-cuff remark from our assessor that we "punched above our weight" for such a small organisation.

Evaluation Trust evaluation 2011

From time to time we arrange an external evaluation of our service. The last one looked at the shared services we ran with Bournemouth CVS and Dorset Race Equality Council, called the Integrated Advice Service. This evaluation was undertaken in 2011 by the Evaluation Trust, who have worked extensively with our sector. They commented:

"The overall feedback [from the organisations surveyed] was outstandingly positive... all staff ... are to be congratulated on achieving such consistently high levels of satisfaction."
