Running your Group

We can provide you with whatever support you need in running your group.  If it is a quick question that you can't find the answer for, a new policy you need to create (but don't know what to put in) or information about the latest legislation, we can arrange support for you.

Other areas we can support groups with are: -

  • How to form a group

  • Writing constitutions or amending them

  • Trustees roles and responsibilities

  • What to put in policies and procedures

  • Charity Commission registration and requirements

  • Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults including Independent Safeguarding Authority information and DBS checks

  • Project development and business planning

  • Employment and HR issues including recruitment

  • Accounts information
  • Different legal structures including basic information about social enterprises, including advice on how to find out more

Sometimes people just want to know where to look for the information. On other occasions we can offer more hands-on help.  The biggest challenge is in identifying groups to support as well as in being aware of new groups.  You can help us by passing our details on to those considering setting up a new group. We are keen to support them from the start of their new venture.
