People's Postcode Lottery - Local Funding Workshop 2019

2019 sees People's Postcode Lottery celebrating the 10th birthday of the first grant-giving trust to accept applications for Community Programmes - People's Postcode Trust.

People's Postcode Lottery will be hosting this free event in partnership with Bournemouth West MP Conor Burns, who will be giving the welcome speech. This will be followed by a presentation from People's Postcode Lottery charity team and a question and answer session.

An Evening of Cabaret & French Music

A fun night of fabulous music and sing alongs. We are very lucky to have 3 professional musicians along with our very talented volunteer, Meg Beardsley, entertaining us with music on a cold winters night. Sam Hanson and Dean Austin are the piano accompanists and Helen Beardsley from London will also be singing. Sam Hanson has conducted orchestras in the area and appears as a soloist quite often. Dean Austin has worked on both Spamlot and Taboo in the West End and appears 4 times a year with Helen Beardsley at the Phoenix Theatre in London. For all you music buffs, this will be a real treat! 'Being A Charity Trustee' Training

This is a simple but comprehensive introduction to being a trustee, with plenty of opportunities for questions throughout and informative handouts to take away.

What is a charity? What is a trustee and what does a trustee do? What are their legal responsibilities, as an individual and a group? What are the possible liabilities and how to manage them? How to be an effective trustee and why be a trustee?
