Welcome to Poole CVS

If you are a charity, a voluntary group or a community group working in Poole, we are here to help you.

About us

Poole CVS works in partnership with Bournemouth CVS and Dorset Race Equality Council.

We offer a range of services including:

  • Funding advice
  • Advice on running your organisation
  • Help with finding volunteers

Please note: we can only help groups, not individuals.

We run a Volunteer Centre, which brings together people seeking volunteering opportunities with charities, voluntary and statutory organisations seeking help. You can also see the list of volunteering opportunities here.

Being a member of Poole CVS does not automatically register you for volunteers: you will need to fill in a couple of forms to give the volunteer centre some information about your organisation and your volunteer opportunities.

The new LiveWell Dorset service was launched on 1 April 2015, providing information, support and onward referrals to help those with weight management, smoking cessation, physical activity and alcohol issues.

The service is open to anyone living in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset over the age of 18 years.

LiveWell Dorset can supply information cards to be used as a means of providing people with an informal referral. Find them on Twitter @LWDorset and Facebook LiveWell Dorset.

The www.livewelldorset.co.uk website is due to be launched over the next few weeks.
