Welcome to Poole CVS

If you are a charity, a voluntary group or a community group working in Poole, we are here to help you.

About us

Poole CVS works in partnership with Bournemouth CVS and Dorset Race Equality Council.

We offer a range of services including:

  • Funding advice
  • Advice on running your organisation
  • Help with finding volunteers

Please note: we can only help groups, not individuals.

We run a Volunteer Centre, which brings together people seeking volunteering opportunities with charities, voluntary and statutory organisations seeking help. You can also see the list of volunteering opportunities here.

Being a member of Poole CVS does not automatically register you for volunteers: you will need to fill in a couple of forms to give the volunteer centre some information about your organisation and your volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers Week 1st to 7th June is nearly upon us…… Do you have some spare time on your hands, skills you would like to share or simply wish to give something back to the local community: then why not think about volunteering?

To help you on your way, from 1st to 5th June 2015 only, we have a pop-up shop in Poole which will be filled with local charities all looking for people like you, of all ages, from different walks of life and with varying skills and interests! The pop-up shop will be in the old Stead and Simpson shop on the ground floor of the Dolphin Centre in Poole next to Clarkes from 10am to 4pm each day.

Come along and chat with the charities' representatives, see what voluntary opportunities are available and find out how you can help, whether it be for a few hours once or twice a week or even just once a month.

There will also be display boards advertising a range of other voluntary opportunities that are available across Poole and Bournemouth.
